These vegan waffles are low-fat and whole wheat. Well, half whole-wheat at least! They use applesauce instead of oil, so they are almost fat-free. Make sure your waffle iron is well greased though, as vegan waffles and low-fat waffles tend to stick a bit more.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup white flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1/2 cup applesauce
Preparation:
Combine the flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt. Add the soy milk and applesauce.
Pour into a lightly greased waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
